TRAVELLING TO WARSAW
Warsaw is well served by air from all parts of the world and the Frederic Chopin Airport is situated 10km south-west of the City Centre. While there are bus services to Warsaw, a taxi (costing about €25) will be the quickest way to the hotel. You are recommended to use only an official taxi. To ensure good availability, delegates are recommended to make flight and/or hotel reservations well in advance, especially if you are staying on after the Conference. The Warsaw Marathon takes place on September 28th!
VISA TO ENTER POLAND
Nationals from some countries may require a visa to visit Poland. Delegates can find useful information on visa requirements at www.staypoland.com/poland-visa.htm.
Please contact the Conference Secretariat if documentation is required in support of a visa application. If delegates intend to visit other parts of Europe as part of their trip to 11ELBC it is advisable to check the visa requirements for these countries also as they may differ from those in Poland.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION
Reduced room rates have been arranged at the Hilton Warsaw Hotel for 11ELBC delegates. Additional accommodation, also at preferential rates, has been arranged at selected hotels nearby.

CLIMATE AND WEATHER
In September, the weather should be reasonable with temperatures in the region of 15-20 C during the day. Lightweight clothing should suffice but, as this is northern Europe, other items such as some rainwear might be advisable. |

For accommodation cancellations received. . .
- before 1 July 2008, the full payment will be reimbursed less an administrative fee of €40.
- between 1 July and 31 July 2008, one night’s hotel accommodation will be charged.
- from 1 August 2008 onwards, no refunds can be made for cancellations of either the total booking or single nights.
Hotel accommodation in Warsaw can be in short supply during September. Delegates are urged to make hotel reservations no later than 13 June 2008 for the Hilton Warsaw. If room cancellations become necessary they should be applied for via Eurokongress.
