FIRST REACH CONSORTIUM GENERAL ASSEMBLY The first REACH Consortium General Assembly was held on 6 February 2008 in London. The meeting was open to all members of the REACH Consortium. The General Assembly was well attended, with 43 participants present. The Consortium now has 50 members, from EU producers, non EU companies and EU-based traders. The Consortium also has four associate members. The next General Assembly will be held on 26 June 2008 in Brussels. 11th ELBC - CALL FOR PAPERS & ANNOUNCEMENT The Lead Development Association International (LDAI) is pleased to announce that the 11th European Lead Battery Conference and Exhibition (11ELBC) will be held at the Hilton International Hotel, Warsaw in September 2008. The European Lead Battery Conference, held every 2 years, is a premier event and meeting place for all those involved in the technical development, manufacturing, marketing, use and financing of lead-acid batteries. The Conference will provide a valuable opportunity to review important topics influencing the future growth of the industry, including information on current and future markets, cost reduction in battery manufacture, recent technical developments, production methods and new business ventures.
